HMPS Psychology held its first talk show attended by more than 120 students. This talk show raised the theme of finding passion and career preparation for psychology students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. This theme was chosen because it involves crucial elements in the career development of psychology students. Psychology as a field of study has various branches, such as clinical, social, developmental, religious, and industrial/organizational psychology. Understanding interests and passions in one of these branches is important because it will influence career choices and professional success in the future.

This talk show aims to provide a forum for Psychology students to explore their interests and passions in the context of a career in the corporate world.

The discussion will cover psychological considerations underlying career choices, relevant skill development strategies, and how to build a solid career plan.

This talk show was filled by 3 main speakers, namely
1. Suryonugroho, S.Psi. As a psychology graduate who works at KESBANGPOL, Special Region of Yogyakarta
2. Annisah Zaqiyatuddinni, S.Psi, M.Psi. Psychologist. As a psychology graduate who works as a lecturer in Psychology Practitioner at Jenderal Ahmad Yani University
3. Latifaul Laila, S.Psi, M.Psi. Psychologist. As a psychology graduate who works as a lecturer in developmental psychology at the Islamic University of Indonesia

These three speakers conveyed the importance of recognizing interests in the psychology group. Through the introduction of these interests, students are asked to hone their skills in this field and express them through action. According to Mrs. Laila, the introduction to this group begins with recognizing students' concerns about the future. Continued by Mrs. Annisah, the most important thing in preparing for this career is self-confidence, believing in one's potential. Furthermore, according to Mr. Aji, the knowledge gained in Psychology is not only oriented towards science, but all fields of work basically require psychological knowledge.

In addition to the talk show, the 2024 Psychology HMPS continued the series of activities by introducing the HMPS management and the Psychology laboratory. It is hoped that these two organizations will help develop the skills of psychology students in preparing for their future careers.
