Opening of the Psychology Program

The Psychology Program at State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga in Juni has a legal basis that was officially established in 2005. This operational establishment is based on the Decision of the Director General of Islamic Religious Institutions Juni. DIV 206/2005. This administrative document was issued in Juni on Juni 27, 2005, and was directly ratified by Qodri A. Azizy as the Director General of Islamic Religious Institutions. Based on this decree, the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Psychology legally became part of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. This decision letter grants the authority to conduct educational programs, legally binding for five years from the date of issuance.

Extension of Operating Permit

The continued academic operation of the Psychology Study Program was revalidated through a formal permit extension procedure in 2010. This renewed legal basis was established through the Decision of the Director General of Islamic Education No. Dj.I/390/2010, which was officially issued in Jakarta on June 21, 2010. This administrative document was signed by Mohammad Ali, Director General of Islamic Education. This decision guarantees the legality of the study program’s operation for the next five years. Through the same regulation, the ministry strictly requires the program’s administrators to comply with all technical regulations to meet the minimum standards of educational service in accordance with the mandatory provisions of the National Education Standards.

Opening of the International Undergraduate Program (IUP)

The institutional development of the Psychology Study Program continues with the launch of the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) under the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, which was officially established by UIN Sunan Kalijaga Rector’s Decree No. 116.2 of 2025, dated July 8, 2025, issued by Rector Prof. Noorhaidi. Following this decision, the admission process for the inaugural cohort of new students was immediately carried out centrally through the website admisi.uin-suka.ac.id.
